Renewal and Justice

As a community, we desire to contribute our time, talent, and resources toward renewal and justice both in our city and across the globe; to bring God’s healing and shalom into the world.

Justice: the restorative process of making right what is wrong within relationships and relational systems in accordance with God’s vision for humanity. Righteousness and Justice operate synergistically, both are connected all throughout the Scriptures.

“Love (agape) the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…Love (agape) your neighbor as yourself.” - Matthew 22:37,39

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you” - Psalm 89:14

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” - Matthew 5:9

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” - Micah 6:8

Renewal: the making of all things new by way of the Presence of God. (think renovation of a house)

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” - Isaiah 43:19

“…at the renewal of all things…” - Matthew 28:19

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’ - Genesis 1:28

“Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” - Colossians 3:17

If you have an idea for Kingdom innovation and renewal within our local economy and community, we’d love to talk with you about how we can partner. This includes both the non-profit as well as the for-profit sector. Both require renewal. If you work in the marketplace and are curious about integrating faith & work within your vocation, we’d also love to connect.
